THURSDAY, MARCH 3rd, AT 10 AM IN THE 1ST PRIMARY SCHOOL OF DRAMA “MOBILE SCHOOL TRAVELS” IN THE 7TH FESTIVAL AGAINST SCHOOL VIOLENCE

The 7th Festival against School Violence will include the three-year project “Mobile School Travels”.

 

Specifically, on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 10 A.M. for three hours, the project team will visit the 1st Primary School of Drama, in order to carry out an experiential action with the children of the 4th & 5th Grades. The action will take place at the invitation of the school principal, Mr. Alkiviadis Salpingtis with the main purpose and goal to highlight the importance of friendship, love and respect for diversity and the role played by the existence of a healthy social environment for his psychosynthesis of a person. Also, the children who will participate in the action will have the opportunity to get to know the mobile school up close and to be informed about the project “Mobile School Travels”. The Festival is organized by the Association of Teachers of the 1st Primary School of Drama and the Association of Parents and Guardians of the school, in collaboration with the Directorate of P.E. of the Prefecture of Drama, the Counter-Region of Drama and other associations and will take place on March 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 2022. After three years of interventions only within Drama, the Mobile School, from 2020 until today travels three times a week to areas of Drama, Kavala and Xanthi, in order to reach Roma children who, either for social or family reasons, are excluded from the school communities and cannot have regular education.

 

The project “Mobile School Travels” is implemented within the framework of the Active citizens fund program, with the implementing body the Union of Ladies of Drama – H.O.H. The € 12m Active citizens fund program is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and is part of the European Economic Area (EEA) funding mechanism for the period 2014 – 2021, known as EEA Grants. The program aims to strengthen and enhance the sustainability of civil society and to highlight its role in promoting democratic processes, enhancing citizen participation in the community and defending human rights. The management of the Active citizens fund program in Greece has been jointly undertaken by the Bodosakis Foundation and SolidarityNow.
