Active Citizens Fund

The Active Citizens Fund is a program of €12m, funded by Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway, and is part of the funding mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA) for the period of 2014-2021, known as EEA Grants. The program aims to empower and strengthen the sustainability of civil society and to highlight its role in promoting the democratic procedure, the increase of citizen participation in the commons and the protection of human rights. The Fund Operator for the Active Citizens Fund in Greece is Bodossaki Foundation in consortium with SolidarityNow.
