The Mobile School of the Ladies Union of Drama – H.O.H. gave its dynamic presence at the Xanthi Old Town celebrations but also at the Pre-Festival events of the 44th International Short Film Festival of Drama.
On the afternoon of Wednesday, September 8th, at the Limnios Theme Park, the project team carried out a double action, both informing the public and intervening with Roma children who approached it. On Thursday, September 9th, at the little theater of Agia Varvara, the mobile school participated in the pre-festival events of the 44th Drama Short Film Festival. The interest of the visitors of the Festival was equally great, while many were those who wished similar actions to be transferred to every corner of Greece.
After two years of interventions only within Drama, the Mobile School, from 2020 until today travels three times a week to areas of Drama, Kavala and Xanthi, in order to reach Roma children who are excluded for either social or family reasons from school communities and cannot have regular attendance.
