18 Nov ONE OF THE 3 ORGANIZATIONS THAT WILL PRESENT THE SUCCESS STORY. REMARKABLE RECOGNITION AFTER ALMOST 3 YEARS OF WORK
Next Tuesday, November 22, the Ladies Union of Drama – House of Open Hospitality (HOH) will present in Athens the way that the institution used the empowerment seminars, as also the changes they brought about.
Specifically, in the context of the two projects implemented through the Active citizens fund (Acf) program, “Mobile School Travels” and “TIME TO TALK”, the Union implemented a total of 25 seminars with experienced executives specializing in civil society organizations.
The way in which it made use of the empowerment seminars is a success story and so the institution will present this success precisely in Athens. The selection was made with strict criteria and only 3 organizations from all over Greece were selected among dozens of project implementing organizations by the Acf.
The event is organized by the Bodosaki Foundation in co-organization with the grant manager of Portugal and Romania during the week of November 21-25 at the “Electra” hotel, while it will be attended by representatives of grant managers of EEA Grants from several European countries.
The projects “The Mobile School Travels” and “TIME TO TALK” are implemented within the framework of the Active citizens fund program, with the implementing body of the Ladies’ Union of Drama – HOH. The Active citizens fund program, amounting to €13.5 million, is financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and is part of the financial mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA) for the period 2014 – 2021, known as EEA Grants. The program aims to strengthen and optimize the sustainability of civil society, as well to highlight its role in promoting democratic processes, strengthening citizens’ participation in society and defending human rights. The management of the grant of the Active citizens fund program for Greece has been undertaken jointly by the Bodosaki Foundation and the Solidarity Now. Read more here: www.activecitizensfund.gr
