16 Feb In the interventions in Xanthi and Kalampaki “The Mobile School Travels” honored the World Radio Day.
On the occasion of the World Radio Day, the three-year project of the Ladies Union of Drama- H.O.H “Mobile School Travels” carried out experiential activities for Roma children.
The action consisted of two sections. In the first section there was a discussion about whether the children know the radio, if they listen to stations and which stations and how they feel with this particular means of communication. Some of the answers we received were: “I know what radio is”, “They make music shows and celebrities”, “They choose songs”, “They tell the news”, “We never had a radio”. In the second section, that lasted one hour, the Roma children became the same radio producers, randomly choosing a topic which they then had to present to the public. The action was a complete success, while the children anxiously asked when it would be repeated.
